It was sunny that day, so Dad and I decided to plant some flowers in our yard. When we were loosening the soil, we noticed some weeds.
Dad said, “Look, there used to be yellow flowers here. Why are they gone now?”
I replied, “Yeah, it used to be so pretty. Let’s dig out these weeds.”

My Thoughts on Virtual Learning

Hi everyone, I am Daniel Feng. I am currently in second grade. Because of the pandemic, we could not go to school, so we switched to remote learning instead.
I miss my teacher during remote learning because I like her a lot. I also like our school lunch, especially the mac & cheese, mozzarella sticks, and cheese sticks. I also like our school library.
The advantages of staying home include getting up later in the morning and having more time to eat and play. Although we do not have many school assignments, my mom will give me learning tasks as enrichment.
Ok, I will end this here. I hope the Coronavirus will leave soon so that everyone will not need to be afraid of getting sick and stay at home.

My Virtual Learning Experience

Because more and more people are getting Covid in the US, our school closed, so we have to take virtual classes. I am going to introduce how virtual learning, something I could never have imagined before, works at my school.

Exercising in Quarantine

In March, our school started to require us to stay in quarantine because Covid-19 was spreading too quickly in the US. For me, quarantine had the biggest impact on my exercise. Before the pandemic, I attended tennis lessons once a week, regularly attended PE class in school, and would even play badminton in my driveway. Although quarantine changed all of my athletic activities, I still found many ways to exercise at home.

During the pandemic, everyone’s schools and sports have experienced drastic changes. Many classes are now online, but sports like basketball, tennis, and soccer cannot make that transition. After closing for three months, the outdoor tennis courts finally reopened, and tennis lessons resumed. However, these lessons are not the same as before.

How My Life Changed In Quarantine

Due to the recent pandemic, my life has changed a lot.
I cannot go to school because of quarantine. Usually, going to school takes up most of my day. Since I don’t have to go to school now, I have a lot more time on my hands. Although it’s true that I don’t have school in the summer, unlike now, I have to go to summer camps.
I haven’t wasted all of this extra time. Now, I have the time to play, to read the books that I could not get to before, and to learn about new things.
